These Nevada Goldback foil notes contain 1/100 oz .999 of fine Gold which is the first local, voluntary currency to be made of a spendable, beautiful, physical Gold.
The Goldback project truly began in spirit with the passage of the Utah Legal Tender Act in 2011 which recognized certain types of Gold as currency within the state. Since that time the technology to mint Gold into a spendable form for small transactions has come to fruition.

- Face: Features Lady Justita — Latin for Justice. She is depicted holding the scales of Justice, but unlike how Justice is normally portrayed, her eyes are wide open. Other design elements include a barrel of wine with a Winchester, wild horses and the opulent Storey County Courthouse in Virginia City that was built during the heyday of the area’s silver mining boom.
